ONE BULLET - ONE SILO

Built in the mid 1960's, this 60' silo had outlived it's usefulness by 2002.
Preparation done by Burt McBroom involved removing all but one cement silo block in the direction of fall.
Then a single 30.06 high power rifle bullet and gravity did the rest... One of the coolest things I've ever done with a gun!!

The checkerboard pattern midway up is where the original top used to be. It was a common practice to add on to this type of cement stave silo.

In just a very few seconds the once rock solid structure is reduced to a pile of rubble. The fun part is over, now the cleanup work begins. In a few days you won't be able to tell it was ever there.

The "old soldier" himself on his 80th birthday (Burt McBroom).
